Raj govt to launch special drive to catch wanted criminals

The Rajasthan government today said the state police will launch a month-long special drive to nab wanted criminals.
54,000 people are wanted by state police in different cases. Special teams would be constituted for this purpose and directions have issued for the same, Home Minister Gulabchand Kataria said while replying to a supplementary question during the Question Hour.
Meanwhile, during the Zero Hour, state Health Minister Rajendra Rathore informed the Assembly that sale oflance poppy head will be stopped in the state from tomorrow.
There are 19,296 permit holders and nearly 2 lakh people consume lance poppy in the state.

Leader of Opposition Rameshwar Dudi said the meeting of Congress Legislature Party will be convened on the morning of September 1 before the session begins.
The meeting was scheduled for today but was postponed due to death of Congress MLA Girraj Singh Malinka's brother, he said.
The assembly session is beginning on September 1.
