Raj group raises demand for 'Maru Pradesh'

A day after the Centre decided to create Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh, an organisation today demanded carving out of 'Maru Pradesh' from Rajasthan.
Maru Pradesh Nirman Morcha would demonstrate in the national capital to press for its demand on August 2.
The organisation has demand a separate state from Rajasthan with nine districts of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur and two Tehsils of Osian and Phalodi.
"This is necessary for the growth and development. We have been raising our demand for long and now after the decision to form Telangana state after separation from Andhra Pradesh, our demands should also be considered," Jaibeer Godara of the Morcha, claimed to be formed over a decade ago, said.
The organisation will demonstrate in front of the Congress office in New Delhi on August 2, he added.
