Raj Home Minister asks cops to produce challan in minor rape

Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria today directed all police stations in the state to produce challan in court in minor girls' rape cases within 15 days of the FIR.
Holding a high level meeting at Police Headquarters with top brass officials, Kataria said police stations (Thana) should finish investigation in minor rape and sexual exploitation cases at the earliest and produce the challan in the court within 15 days of the FIR.
On highway robbery and dacoities in towns, Kataria said there should be coordination among DIG, SP, and District level police officials to curb the crime and nab the culprits.
CCTV gadgets should be installed at important places like petrol outlets to monitor the activities of miscreants, he advised.
Effective night patrolling and checking at certain places could also reduce incidents of smuggling liquor and organised crime, he said.
He stressed to strengthen cyber facilities in all district headquarters saying every Thana (police stations) should be equipped with sophisticated equipments.
Director General of Plice Manoj Bhatt apprised HM on department's activities and law and order matters.
