Raj PCC urges govt to start 'Girdwari'

The proposal, in view of weak monsoon, was passed at the party's executive meeting and will be forwarded to the Rajasthan government, PCC chief Chandrabhan said.

"Three proposals on drought-like situation and electricity and water management, employment and land acquisition policy were passed in the meeting," he said.

He said the PCC has urged state government to start Girdawari across Rajasthan to assess losses due to drought.

Chandrabhan said it has also been decided to the urge government to prepare necessary work plan for water and electricity shortage in drought situation.

"The situation will worsen if the monsoon remains weak next month also," he said.

In the second proposal, the party has requested government to make timely budget announcement related to employment generation and in the other proposal, preparation of new land acquisition policy in the interest of farmers will be demanded, he said.
