IGP Girraj Meena, who was on patrol last night, was not travelling in the car, SHO of Gajner Police Station Indra Kumar said.
The incident occurred in the wee hours, when constable Kailash Daan, who was driving the car, and Churu SP's bodyguard, Rajesh, had gone to Gajner in the car for a meal, the SHO said.
