The Rajasthan government today launched a menstruation hygiene management scheme to create awareness on the menstruation among girls in the state.
"Awareness for the menstruation hygiene will be created via schools and anganwadi centres through various activities. The girls will also be provided sanitary napkins," Women and Child Development minister Anita Bhadel said.
She said there was a need to break the menstruation taboo in the society and schools can be a good platform for that.
The schemes for ODF continuity and cleanliness survey (rural)-2018 were also launched at the event.
