Raj: Three including BDO held in graft cases

Three persons, including a Block Development Officer, were today arrested in separate cases of alleged graft by anti-corruption bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan.
BDO of Bicchiwara in Dungarpur district Ashok Rathore and clerk Ganesh Lal were arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000, Inspector General, ACB, V K Singh said.
The accused had demanded the bribe from the husband of the Sarpanch Someshwar for issuing new muster roll under MGNREGA, he said.
After verification of the complaint, the accused were trapped and held, the IG said.
In the other case, clerk of Mount Abu Municipal board Suraj Bairwa was arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000, Singh said.
The accused had demanded the bribe from a contractor to clear his pending bills amounting Rs 2.59 lakh, he added.
