Speaking at a workshop on 'Results Framework Document-an Instrument for Improving Government Performance', Matthew today said the government is keen to adopt RFD.
"The state government is keen to implement the concept and looking forward to working with the performance management division of Government of India. It will improve the government's performance and efficiency," he said.
Matthew said RFD should serve twin purpose of shifting the department's focus from process to result orientation and providing an objective and fair basis to evaluate department's overall performance annually.
"RFD of a government department is a record of performance goals laid down at the beginning of the year and results achieved by the department responsible for their implementation," Prajapati Trivedi, Secretary, Performance Management in Cabinet Secretariat, said.
The two-day workshop has the objective of familiarising senior officers with the preparation of RFD.
