Raj to showcase its fort, palace heritage on World Tourism Day

Rajasthan will showcase its rich cultural and architectural heritage on the eve of World Tourism Day tomorrow by organising various cultural programmes at prominent forts and palaces.
Entry to all the government monuments will be free tomorrow, according to an official of the state tourism department.
Jaipur's Amber Fort will welcome tourists in a traditional way, while the Albert Hall Museum in the pink city will be enthralled with 'Shehnai Vadan', according to the release.
Rajasthani folk dancers will perform at Hawa Mahal, a prominent tourist attraction in the city. A Heritage Walk will also be conducted at the 16th century Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Events like photography and illustration competition, exhibition, postal stamp collection exhibition, sketch activities will be a part of the Tourism Day celebration, the release stated.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said the state made a prominent place on the world's tourism map due to its rich and vibrant culture.
Raje said that every tourist wants to visit Rajasthan due to splendid folk culture, architecture and festivals and the tourism sector is an important part of the state's economy.
