The Congress's Rajasthan unit will observe the first anniversary of demonetisation as "Black Day" on November 8.
Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot said that party workers would wear black strips to express their protest and a candle march will be taken out in every divisional headquarters on the day.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while announcing withdrawal of high value currency notes from circulation, had claimed that it would eliminate black money, corruption and fake notes and put a curb on terror funding, but all these claims proved wrong.
More than 100 people died while standing in bank and ATM queues after demonetisation, he said.
The move also rendered lakhs of people jobless, he added.
