Rajasthan Fin Commission shares panchayat initiatives with MP

The Rajasthan Finance Commission today shared with its Madhya Pradesh counterpart initiatives taken by the commission to financially strengthen gram panchayats in the state.
During their Jaipur visit, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Finance Commission Himmat Kothari along with members DRS Chaudhary, Malay Kumar Rai and Member Secretary Sushil Kumar held meeting with Rajasthan Finance Commission Chairperson Jyoti Kiran and officials and discussed the issues pertaining to the functioning of the commissions.
"The commission has prepared an innovative index while adopting global sharing mechanism for the disbursement of fund in districts," Kiran said.
"Other innovative steps were also taken by the commission to strengthen the gram panchayat and we shared it with the Madhya Pradesh state finance commission."
She also shared with them the recommendation of the commission in the last two interim reports.
Kothari said the commission will study the initiatives and consider to implement the same in his state.
The finance commission in MP was set up in 2014 and is preparing its interim report.
