Rajasthan gets Rs 15,253.04 crore from NABARD in 2014-15

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) today said its financial support to Rajasthan touched an all-time of Rs 15,253.04 crore during the just-concluded financial year.
NABARD's refinance disbursements to cooperative and regional rural banks reached the highest ever Rs 10,810.62 crore-mark in 2014-15 enabling the cooperative banking system to disburse Rs 16,000 crore in the state, it said.
Long-term investment credit refinance for accelerating the growth of capital formation in agriculture and allied activities touched an all time high of Rs 1,523.69 crore - 20 per cent higher compared with 2013-14.
Of this, Rs 214.45 crore was provided from the newly constituted Long Term Rural Credit Fund (LTRCF).
During 2014-15, Rs 2,191.81 crore was sanctioned for infrastructure projects to the state government for minor irrigation, warehousing, primary health centres, kisan seva kendra-cum-village knowledge centres and Land Record Information Centres and forestry projects, among others.
NABARD, under its various initiatives for financial inclusion, wholly supported PMJDY and Bhamashah Yojna by organising financial literacy awareness camps in 5,300 villages in Rajasthan.
