Rajasthan Police arrest cyber criminal from Kanpur

Rajasthan police have arrested an alleged cyber criminal for cheating people by extracting debit card pin codes and using it for online shopping here, police said today.
Accused Shivam Sachan alias Ranu, a Computer Science graduate, was arrested from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh recently, the official said.
Shivam, an alleged kingpin of a cyber crime gang, used to obtain passwords of debit cards from the people by misguiding them through mobile calls and used the amount, worth thousands of rupees, for online shopping, he said.
The accused has confessed that he has cheated 15 people so far in Jaisalmer district in the recent past, the police said.
Ranu was produced in the court, from where he was sent to police custody on April 1.
A cyber crime team is also probing the case to trace other of his accomplices, he added.
