Parts of Rajasthan received rainfall in the range of 3 cm to 8 cm in the past 24 hours, a Meteorological Department official said on Monday.
Mount Abu and its tehsil recorded 8 cm rainfall each, followed by 5 cm in Reodar of Sirohi and 4 cm each in Kotputli of Jaipur, Pratapgarh, Devel, Bhinmal and Raniwada. Various places recorded 3 cm rainfall during the period, the weatherman said.
Ajmer and Jaisalmer each recorded 0.5 mm rainfall, while Jodhpur and Churu recorded 0.2 mm each.
With 41.2 degree Celsius, Jaisalmer was recorded the hottest place in the state, followed by Bikaner with 41.1 degrees Celsius, Barmer with 40.5 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur with 39.6 degrees Celsius, Kota with 37.7 degrees Celsius, Jaipur with 37.6 degrees Celsius, Churu with 37.5 degrees Celsius and Sriganganagar with 37.4 degrees Celsius.
The Met Department has forecast thunderstorm with light to moderate rainfall at a few places in the state in the next 24 hours.
