The incident took place in the afternoon when six members of a Bheel family including three women were digging the ditch to take out soil for domestic use when a portion of it collapsed on them, sub inspector R H Pareta said.
They were rushed to the community health centre in Eklera town where the doctors declared Bhulibai Bheel and eight- year-old Dushyant Bheel as brought dead. The injured were referred to a government hospital in Jhalwar, he said.
