Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje today claimed the Congress made the state debt-ridden by leaving a debt of Rs 2.50 lakh crore, 80,000 crore being in power sector.
"The state had been turned debt-ridden and no bank from Delhi was ready to lend any loan to Rajasthan," Raje said while lashing out at former Chief minister Ashok Gehlot, adding there is no shortage of money for the developmental and welfare work with the current government.
Raje said she had made 667 announcements of developmental and welfare works during her 'Swaraj Sankalp Yatra' and claimed 72 per cent of them have been fulfilled and assured the rest of them would be made in next two-and-a-half-years.
She inaugurated seven projects worth Rs 235 crore and laid foundation stones of other three projects worth of Rs 115 crore by clicking a remote button in Ummad Singh Stadium here.
Raje also announced that Chambal-Bundi water project worth Rs 50 crore would kick-off December this year as Rs 38 crores have been sanctioned for the same.
Speaking on the issue of student suicides here, she said, "Kota should not only be known for producing studious students but also civilized persons. It should be ensured that the students taking coaching classes here should have adequate counselling facilities with psychotherapists."
State UDH minister Rajpal Singh Shkekhawat, Agriculture minister Prabhu Lal Saini, MP from Kota- Bundi Om Birla, MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat, Phralad Gunjal along with other BJP leaders were present on this occasion.
