Raje ensures good quality houses, toilets in rural areas

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today directed government officials to ensure good quality construction and regular monitoring of houses and toilets in rural areas.
Reviewing progress in budget announcements related to Panchayti Raj department, Raje asked the officials to keep proper monitoring of construction of toilets and BPL houses by going to the field regularly so that the quality of construction does not suffer.
In the presence of Panchyati Raj Minister Surendra Goyal, she also asked the officials to make schemes offered under all the Panchayats available online so that anyone can access them and read them in detail.
In a separate review meeting of cooperatives department, the chief minister directed officials to make adequate arrangements for the supply of urea and DAP which is used as a fertilizer in districts.
She was told in the meeting that the department has disbursed short-term loan worth Rs 2,617 crore to 6.47 lakh farmers so far, which is Rs 847 crore higher than the corresponding period last year.
It was also informed in the meeting that twenty new branches of central cooperative bank will be opened in the state this year, according to a release.
Cooperative Minister Ajay Singh and officers were present in the meeting.
