Raje holds Advisory council meet on health services

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said the existing infrastructure in modern health services to the people should be made functional and improvement should be shown in other medical services too.
She was chairing an Advisory Council meet on Health and Nutrition here, according to an official statement.
Issues related to better modern health services to the people in the interior regions of state by way of consolidation of the network of health sub-centres, primary or community health centres and district hospitals and making this existing infrastructure functional were discussed in the meeting, it said.
Similarly, deliberations were held on developing health routes for improvement of services due to vacancies of doctors or specialists and charting out methods for tacking malnutrition among the children at the meeting.
Chief Secretary CS Rajan, Chief Minister's Advisory Council Member Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Bibek Debroy, Principal Secretary Medical and Health Mukesh Sharma, Secretary Planning Akhil Arora, Director (NRHM) Naveen Jain, Additional Director (NRHM) Neeraj K Pawan, other senior officials and health experts were present in the meet, it said.
