Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot today said Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's repetitive statements that "she will remain at the post for the next two years and lead the elections showed her insecurity".
"There is more than meets the eye. I have closely scrutinised the Chief Minister's statements. It shows insecurity as she has been repetitively saying that she will remain at the top post," he told reporters here after the BJP government's three years of 'Suraaj' celebrations.
He alleged that the ruling government had failed to deliver on all fronts despite it getting a thumping majority from the people of the state.
On the recent Cabinet rejig, Pilot said, "It seemed to be an exercise to pacify protests. The reshuffle was not done on the basis of merit but was done to please party men."
Claiming that in the last one year, 9,559 rape cases were reported in Rajasthan, he said, "Earlier, the state which ranked fifth in India is now third in terms of rape cases."
"Rajasthan with 35 per cent increase in cases of atrocities against Dalits ranks second in India. The state has also seen a 53 per cent rise in crime against STs," he claimed, adding there has been no action against political leaders charged with corruption.
"Probe in the mining scam, which we exposed, and also in the 'Lalit Modi-gate' has also gone in cold baggage," Pilot quipped .

"After coming to power the BJP government has increased electricity tariff by 37 per cent, privatised profit-making power plants and closed 20,000 schools," Pilot alleged.
We will come up with effective policies before the state assembly elections to revamp the entire machinery, he said.
