Rajiv Misra is new GM ECR

After elevation of A. K. Mittal, present General Manager of East Central Railway (ECR) as Member Engineering, Railway Board, Rajiv Misra, General Manager, North Eastern Railway (NER) has been given the additional charge of GM ECR.
Rajiv Misra's appointment was announced in a press statement issued by Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) ECR with headquarters at Hajipur, Arvind Kumar Rajak here.
Born on March 26, 1957 Misra joined Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering on Northern Railway as an officer of 1978 batch through Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) (February 1975 to February 1979).
During service, Misra did post graduation in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad, the statement said.
He was appointed as one man committee to review periodical overhauling (POH) periodicity of ICF Coaches in 2002. His recommendation for increasing POH periodicity from 12 to 18 months was implemented by the Railway Board in 2007, Rajak said.
The new ECR GM has visited United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, France, Holland, Italy, USA and Maxico for technical and higher management training.
ECR comprises of Danapur, Sonepur, Mughalsarai, Dhanbad and Samastipur divisions.
