Kaul, 86, passed away on May 2 and was cremated the next day.
Among other leaders who were also there to pay homage were BJP's Ravi Shankar Prasad and Union minister Rajiv Shukla, former deputy chairman of Rajya Sabha Najma Heptullah and Amar Singh.
Some other prominent personalities like eminent cardiologist Naresh Trehan were also present at today's prayer meeting, where the two daughters of the Kaul were also present.
