Rajmah, masoor weaken on muted demand

Prices of rajmah and masoor drifted lower by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand.

Traders said tepid demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position, mainly weighed on rajmah and masoor prices.

In the national capital, rajmah chitra fell by Rs 100 to Rs 6,150-8,350 per quintal.

Masoor small and bold also shed Rs 50 each at Rs 3,750-4,050 and Rs 3,800-4,100 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality weakened by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,300-4,700 and Rs 4,400-4,800 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal): urad Rs 4,100-5,300, urad Chilka (local) Rs 5,200-5,300, urad best Rs 5,300-5,800, Dhoya Rs 5,750-5,950, Moong Rs 5,100-5,600, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,700-5,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,300-6,800 and best quality Rs 6,800-7,000.

Masoor small Rs 3,750-4,050, bold Rs 3,800-4,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,300-4,700, best quality Rs 4,400-4,800, Malka local Rs 4,550-4,850, best Rs 4,650-4,950, Moth Rs 3,800-4,200, Arhar Rs 3,800 and Dal Arhar Dara Rs 5,200-7,100.
