"The third phase of Barapullah will be very useful for the people of east and south Delhi. This project will be completed by June 2017," Rajnath told reporters here.
Singh said that the population was increasing due to which the numbers of motorists was also increasing on roads.
"There is need to minimize traffic congestion on roads and we want to build such infrastructure across India which will decongest roads," Singh said.
The commissioning of the phase III would reduce distance between East Delhi, Mayur Vihar, NOIDA and South & other parts of Delhi resulting in a big relief to the commuters and savings of fuel and valuable time.

With the completion of this project, travel time from East Delhi to AIIMS will be reduced to 10 minutes.
At the function, Delhi's LT Governor Najeeb Jung said that the completion of entire project of Barapulla Elevated Road would benefit lakhs of commuters everyday.
"After completion of Barapullah Phase-II, it is estimated that 1,00,000 PCUs will use this stretch. We have estimated that this project will recover its cost in two and a half years," Baroka said.
After extension of Barapullah Elevated road upto Dhaula Kuan/Airport in Phase-IV, travel time from Mayur Vihar to Delhi Airport will be reduced to 25 minutes.
The PWD official also said that this project will have four lane each duel carriageway of 17.80 mtr width and 3.5 km length from Sarai Kale Khan to Mayur Vihar including an Extra-dosed Bridge of length over 550 metres across River Yamuna.
Provision has been made for electrification on elevated road on Via duct, river bridge and additional flyover at Mayur Vihar Phase-I including all loops and roads and illumination of the structure and the bridge itself.
