Rajnath, Shah attends 'Bhajan Sandhya' on Vajpayee's birthday

BJP president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and some other senior party leaders attended a 'Bhajan Sandhya' organised here on the occasion of the 92nd birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Playback singer Shankar Mahadevan rendered devotional songs at the programme in Siri Fort Auditorium.
Union Minister Vijay Goel paid tributes to Vajpayee on the occasion saying with accelerated progress and good governance he had taken the country to new heights of progress.
"A hashtag on social media - #HBDVajpayeeJi - to enable people share birthday wishes and messages for Vajpayee trended on Twitter," he said.

"Though he is not in active politics today, Vajpayee's blessings are always with us," Goel said.
