"Kejriwal is trying to cover up his grave crime of not saving the poor farmer who was dying in front of him. It is not merely criminal negligence, but seems like a criminal conspiracy. The law will take its course in the matter," Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here.
BJP also targeted Kejriwal for his apology over the tragedy at an AAP rally here on Wednesday as it blamed the party for using Gajendra Singh, the farmer from Rajasthan who hung himself at Jantar Mantar, as a "pawn" in politics by "inciting" him to end his life.
Meanwhile, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "Inciting a farmer to commit suicide and, even after he has committed suicide, continuing with the rally... That is politics. We did not do politics.
"To ridicule a farmer in such a way and making a farmer a pawn in politics is very wrong."
