Ramanathan Hariharan is Retail CEO of the Year

Ramanathan Hariharan, CEO of UAE's leading value fashion brand Max with a turnover of USD 1.2 billion, has bagged the Retail CEO of the Year award, recognising his achievements across the Gulf region.
The award recognised Max's achievements in the retail sector in the ten years of since its inception in 2004 and its contribution to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) economy.
The 2014 Arabian Business Indian CEO Awards was held to celebrate the achievements of Indians throughout the Gulf.
The brand has witnessed rapid growth and has opened over 250 stores across 16 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and India in the past 10 years with an annual turnover of USD 1.2 billion.
Other big winners included Eros Group CEO Deepak Babani (Electronics CEO of the Year), Al Tayer CEO Ashok Khanna (Motoring CEO of the Year) and the DM Healthcare CEO Azad Moopen (Special CSR Award).
Consul General of India Anurag Bhushan attended the awards ceremony.
Max currently operates 250 stores in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Nigeria, Libya and India.
