Ramnavami Utsav Committee gives financial help to 1,590 kids

Shree Ramnavami Utsav Committee, headed by Editor-in-Chief of Hind Samachar Group of Newspapers Vijay Kumar Chopra, today provided financial assistance and other items to around 1,590 poor and needy students here.
Like every year, this time also the Committee has provided financial assistance of Rs 300 and other items like school bags, stationary items, things for everyday use and sweets to the poor and needy students, secretary general of the body Avanish Arora said.
Students from 265 schools in this district applied for assistance, out of which 6 students from each school totaling 1,590 children were chosen, he said.
Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia and Leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar were among those present at the programme.
