Ranbir Singh new commissioner of EDMC

Bureaucrat Ranbir Singh today took charge as the new commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, the civic body said.
He succeeds Mohanjeet Singh, who has been posted as Principal Secretary in the Industries Department of the Delhi government.
"Ranbir Singh was earlier with the Goa government prior to taking this assignment," the EDMC said in a statement.
EDMC was one of the three corporations created in 2012 after the trifurcation of the erstwhile unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The civic body has two zones spanning 64 wards.
