Rane said he would request the police not to take action against both the women.
"I have asked the PSO to withdraw the police complaint filed against both the women. The matter is not worth following as there are many people who are against the politicians and abuse them in day to day life," Rane told reporters.
On Tuesday, Margao police had filed FIR against Maria de Cruz (70) and her daughter Auda Godinho (age not known) for blocking the minister and abusing policemen on duty.
"Both the women even assaulted policemen and the security guards of the district hospital in Margao," reads the complaint, copy of which is with PTI.
