Bottom-placed Rangdajied United have signed North Korean international Kim Song-Yong on a one-year contract to change their fortunes in the ongoing I-league season.
Song-Yong joined Rangdajied United FC from Thai Division 1 team, Nakhon Ratchasima Football Club.
The 26-year-old striker has represented North Korea at the U-23 and senior national team levels, besides having the experience of playing in the J League with Kyoto Sanga FC.
"I am very happy and excited to finally have arrived in India. I look forward to repaying the faith showed in me by the Rangdajied United FC management. So my main focus will be to play well for the team, and have a successful season with Rangdajied United Football Club," Song-Yong said.
The north eastern club has only six goals from their nine outings in the season so far. From nine matches, Rangdajied United have just four points, courtesy draws, and are placed at the bottom of the table.
FIFA Licensed Agent and Libero Sports Partner Arvind Narayan, who represented Kim Song-Yong in the transfer, said: "Kim is a young and powerful striker with a sharp nose for goal. He's a quality addition to the Rangdajied United FC team.
