Rani Jhansi Road grade separator project connecting the trans-Yamuna areas with North-East Delhi with South-West Delhi still will ease the flow of the traffic in congested areas.
"A three-day demolition drive was today concluded. Action was taken against 150 houses for paving the way of constructing grade separator at Rani Jhansi Road starting from Filmistan up to on Boulevard Road," Rajanish Singh, ADM (central), said.
Traffic was today affected on Rani Jhansi road due to demolition being carried out at Filmistan, Barafkhana, Azad Market and traffic had to move in a single lane.
The 1.6-km-long four-lane grade separator will be constructed on the stretch between Filmistan cinema and near St Stephen's Hospital.

The foundation stone for the grade separator on Rani Jhansi Road was laid in 2008.
The project aims to de-congest and ease traffic congestion on Rani Jhansi Road, Bara Hindu Rao, DCM Chowk, Azad Market and Baraf Khana Chowk to reach St Stephen's, Subzi Mandi chowk and Azad Market.
