Rao, who held a review with officials on animal husbandry, said the government's plan is to promote rural-based professions so as to strengthen rural economy in the state, according to a release from his office.
He asked all the ministers, MLAs and district collectors to strive for formation of fishermen and sheep-rearers societies in all the districts so that concerned sections can take benefit of the move.
The idea is to put an end to migration of people from the rural areas to urban areas, he added.
