Rape accused arrested after three months in Ghaziabad

Police today arrested a dance teacher from Govindpuram colony for allegedly raping a 17-year-old student three months ago.
The accused has been identified as Michael, police said.
Kavi Nagar SHO Ashok Shishodia told that parents of the victim have alleged in their complaint that their daughter had been going to a nearby school during her summer vacations for karate classes.
The accused befriended their daughter over this period, he said.
On May 30, Michael served sedative laced drinks to the girl and raped her inside the school premises while the school director clicked a video clipping, police said.
The duo was continuously threatening the victim that they will upload the clipping on social media if she dared to complain the matter to police.

An FIR under sections 376 IPC (rape) and relevant sections of POCSO Act was registered against Michael and the school director Balwinder Khandelwal on August 5.
After interrogation the accused Michael has been sent to jail. Police is screening the CCTV camera footage and also the video clips for further action, the officer added.
