was on the run for the last eight months after escaping from police custody, has been arrested, police said today.
A reward of Rs 25,000 had been declared on his arrest, DCP (Rohini) M N Tiwari said.
"The accused, a driver by profession, was arrested on March 11 from Gurgaon. He had escaped from lock-up of Nangloi police station by breaking open the iron bars and was absconding for the last eight months," he said.
On June 23 last year, a man filed a complaint alleging that his minor daughter had allegedly been kidnapped by an unknown person.

"The accused met her outside her house and offered her some drink. After drinking it, she felt dizzy and the accused took her away in a van.
"She alleged that he took her to several places in Haryana and UP and allegedly raped her," Tiwari said.
He was arrested on June 28 and was kept in a lock-up at Nangloi police station. On June 29, he escaped from the lock-up.
Raids were conducted at several places in Mewat but there was no clue of the accused. Later, police also conducted raids in UP and Rajasthan.
"During interrogation, he said that after escaping from the lock-up, he was regularly changing his hideouts in Rajasthan and Mewat," the officer added.
