Ratan Tata visits Nashik botanical garden

Tata Group patriarch Ratan Tata today visited the botanical garden developed by the MNS-ruled Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) here.
He was shown the Jawaharlal Neharu forest garden, funded by Tata Foundation, situated at the base of famous Pandav caves on the Mumbai-Agra highway.
The project was initially proposed by MNS president Raj Thackeray who today welcomed the business tycoon and showed him around in a mini car.
Mayor Ashok Murtadak, deputy Mayor Gurmit Singh Bagga, officials of Tata Foundation as well the civic body were present.
On the occasion, Tata said he was "impressed" by the project.
Separately, office-bearers of the Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association (NIMA) called upon Tata and urged him to make investments in the city given its potential.
They also requested Tata to intervene to set the ball rolling on operationalisation of airport at Ojhar which was developed two years back.
