Ijangare moved the special NDPS court for anticipatory bail through his counsel Taraq Sayyed, which will come up for hearing on July 6.
The court on Friday last slammed City Police for not subjecting him to medical tests post the raid on the rave party at hotel Oakwood in suburban Juhu on May 20.
"The event manager is supposed to be the key person and he organises the event and if something goes wrong the event manager is to be blamed," judge Sanap had observed while passing strictures against investigators.
"Why is he (Ijangare) spared? Why he was not sent for blood test and not even named as an accused in the case? Why is the police protecting him," questioned the court.
As many as 92 people, including foreigners, were rounded up after police busted the party following specific inputs about the presence of drugs at the venue. They were let off after their urine and blood samples were taken.
Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik had said that 44 out of 92 people detained from the plush hotel have tested positive, while 44 out of 46 males tested positive during investigations.
