The Chief Minister in a meeting with representatives of Trade authorities and Trade Unions last night at his home called for increase in investments and invited suggestions to this effect, an official statement said today.
The MSME policy has been prepared according to the needs of local industrialists, the CM said, adding that it needs to be implemented to check the migration of workers from the hilly regions.
The MSME plays a major role in boosting the economy of any state, Rawat said, even as he instructed that all ailing industries in Uttarakhand be brought under the supervision of State Infrastructure & Industrial Development Corporation Limited (SIDCUL).
In this regard, the system of subsidy provided to businessmen would be made simpler and easier and the amount would be transferred direct into their bank accounts, it said.
