Rawat extends invitation to Austria to invest in U'khand

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today promised to extend all help to Austrian investors if they came forward to invest in the state especially in tourism, education, information technology and industrial sectors.
Rawat made the assurance to Austrian Ambassador to India Bernhard Wrabetz who made a courtesy call to him and Governor K K Paul separately in the course of his tour of the hill state.
The state government has framed policies to encourage investment in tourism, education, information technology and industrial sectors and if Austrian investors evince interest in investing in the state they will get all help from the state government, an official release quoting the chief minister here said.
The state government wants to set up environment-friendly industries in the state so that more and more youths of the state can get employment.
Wrabetz also told the chief minister that he was fascinated by the natural beauty of the state.
The Austrian ambassador also called on Governor Paul, who presented him with a coffee table book "Simply Heaven: Discovering Uttarakhand" and told him about the unique spiritual traditions of the state and its great tourism potential.
Keeping in mind the Austrians' keen interest in adventure tourism, Paul extended an invitation to the Austrian Ambassador to visit Auli in the winters for skiing and Nainital in summer to enjoy its natural splendour.
