"An actor is as good as a character. Neither me nor Soumitra Chatterjee can be stuck with Feluda image forever. We essayed our roles when required, it is the director's call afterall," Sabyasachi, who had been an integral part of Sandip's previous Feluda flicks as the razor-sharp sleuth, told PTI at the premier of 'Badshahi Angti'.
The 'Royal Bengal Rahasya' protagonist, the last Feluda film, said Abir looked every part the new age Feluda and whoever dons the cloak, the character will never age.
"I have retained father's touch in Badshahi Angti. In the caligraphy section the fonts have been developed from the cover illustration of the book, so typical of Baba," Sandip said.
He said computer graphics took care of the reptile references in the film which will add up to the Christmas charm this season as well.
"My next Feluda may happen in two years from now, let's hope Abir will be accepted by the scores of Bengali fans annd readers of Baba," Sandip said.
