Razmi brothers- 16-year-old Rayaan and 13-year-old Shahyan- qualified for the main draw of the senior billiards event in the Maharashtra state selection tournament on Wednesday.
The siblings recorded creditable wins in their respective second qualifying round matches and progressed to the tournament proper at the Bombay Gymkhana here.
Maharastra junior number 1 Rayaan fought back strongly after losing the first frame to tame Nikhil Saigal, also of Mumbai, 3-1.
Shahyan showed plenty of resilience and fighting qualities as he rallied to overcome Manav Panchal in five keenly contested frames, winning 3-2.
Former champion Arun Agrawal outplayed Shubham Randhe 3-0 to advance to the next phase of the competition.
Sparsh Pherwani, with a half century effort of 55 in the second frame, rallied to overcome Manan Shah 3-0.
