RBI sets rupee reference rate at Rs 65.0408 against dollar

The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 64.0408 against the US dollar and 71.7530 for the euro.
These rates were 64.9553 and 71.8406 respectively, yesterday.
According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 99.5840 and 54.01 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
