RBI sets rupee reference rate at Rs 66.7090 against dollar

The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of rupee at 66.7090 against the US dollar and 77.1089 for the euro as against 66.5093 and 76.2729 respectively, yesterday.
According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 105.1000 and 56.01 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
