RBS earmarks Rs 20 cr to its flood-hit employees

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has earmarked Rs 20 crore to support employees who were affected by the recent floods in Chennai and its suburbs.
"The company has taken up an initiative in which Rs 20 crore has been allotted towards special relief fund that will be available as interest free loans to support rehabilitation work for colleagues affected by floods," a company release said.
It also planned to provide interest "cash advance of up to four months of gross salary" for the employees.
A free 'home clean up' assistance was provided to houses of the employees that were affected by floods.
Torrential rains in the first week of December caused flooding in several areas and many were rendered homeless.
