RCA vice-president Manvendra Singh dies in fatal car crash

Rajasthan Cricket Association vice-president Manvendra Singh Rohet today died in a fatal road accident when his car collided head on with a water tanker.
The driver of his car also died in the tragic accident that occured on Sunday afternoon. The collision was so intense that the car turned into a mangled mass of iron and the badly damaged bodies could only be extracted with great efforts.
According to a police official, the accident took place near RTO office in the outskirts of Pali at about 2 pm today.
"Rohet's car collided head on with a water tanker, which smashed directly into his vehicle in order to save a motorcycle," said the official.
Rohet and his driver got stuck in the car and died on the spot. The collision was so powerful that both the vehicles got entangled into each other with the car being badly damaged.
The people from the vicinity rushed to the spot and initiated operation to take the stuck bodies out of the car.

Rohet, a Cricket and Horse Polo buff, was also the President of Jodhpur Cricket Association for the past 28 years has been survived by son Siddharth Singh, an eminent hotelier and a polo player, whose property at Rohet near Pali.
"Mihir Garh" has recently won the award of the best Boutique Hotel 2013.
Rohet had also contested Rajasthan assembly election 2009 on Congress ticket from Pali constituency but had lost to the BJP candidate.
He also has held the position of Up Zial Pramukh of Pali. He also is on the board and committees on Mayo School and Chopasni Mayur School in Jodhpur.
