RCI appoints Sabina Chopra as managing director for India mkt

RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands, today announced the appointment of Sabina Chopra as the managing director for RCI India.
Chopra will serve as a member of RCI's senior leadership team, leading the execution of strategic priorities for the Indian market.
Based out of Bengaluru, she will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering on-going value to RCI members and affiliates in this thriving country.
"With more than 25 years of experience in the Indian travel market, Chopra is vital to our ongoing commitment to grow the timeshare industry together, and we are excited to welcome her to the team," RCI President Gordon Gurnik said.
Prior to this Chopra served as Chief Operating Officer for Yatra.Com, which she also co-founded. ----------------------------------

Payments platform PayPal today announced an extension of its merchant partnership with MakeMyTrip, Indian online travel booking company, to facilitate hotel and holidays booking in addition to airline tickets.
The partnership with MakeMyTrip will help foreign tourists continue to enjoy the seamless and secure PayPal experience to book hotels and holiday packages and tide through the recent challenges they are facing post the demonetisation of select Indian currencies, a release issued here said.
MakeMyTrip has 34,000 hotels across India and 240,000 hotels internationally and will be using the automated invoicing feature of PayPal.
Through this facility, they will be able to automatically send invoices to customers by an email along with a link that can be followed to complete payment through PayPal.
