Music composer duo Sajid-Wajid have said that their hit song 'Palat' from upcoming film 'Main Tera Hero' is influenced by the famous R D Burman track 'Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar Hain' from 1981 hit film 'Kaalia'.
The song from David Dhawan's upcoming film is becoming a rage with its catchy and upbeat tune.
The composer duo said they were ardent fans of the legendary musician, and his work has influenced their work.
However, they said the similarities between 'Palat' and 'Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar..' end at the level of "vibes" and lyrics.
"... It was not a conscious attempt (about the resemblance between the two songs). I have been a huge fan of RD Burman. I grown up listening to his music. I won't deny any influence in our work. The lyrics and the vibe of the song are similar but the tune is different," Sajid said.
'Jahan Teri Yeh Nzar..' was sung by Kishore Kumar in the 1981 hit starring Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Amjad Khan in lead roles
Directed by Dhawan and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, 'Main Tera Hero' stars Varun Dhawan, Ileana Dcruz and Nargis Fakri in lead roles. The film is all set to release on April 4.
