Amid Punjab's tussle with Haryana over Sutlej-Yamuna link canal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said he is ready to "make any sacrifice" rather than allow a "single drop of water" to flow out of the state.
He said Punjab is "fully prepared" for a sustained democratic and peaceful fight for justice over the critical issues "affecting the destiny of coming generations".
Sukhbir said this while interacting with mediapersons after paying obeisance on the 'barsi' (death anniversary) of Sant Ram Singh Giarvi Waley here.
"There is no question of Punjab government accepting or implementing any decision which deprives the state of its just right under the settled Riparian principle," the Deputy Chief Minister said.
Sukhbir alleged the "meek surrender" of Punjab's rights by the previous Congress government has resulted in discrimination and "step motherly" treatment to the state.
