"It is our vision to create over 1.1 million affordable houses till 2022. We are ready to extend full support to the real estate industry if they assure that they will create more affordable houses to meet our vision of 'housing for all'," he said.

The Chief Minister said the aim of the proposed housing policy was to create affordable homes.
"We are inviting suggestions and objections from the industry players before formulating the policy. It will be our endeavour to incorporate all practical suggestions in the new policy," he said.
Fadnavis said his Government was ready to change certain rules for the benefit of developers if they assure they will use the relaxed norms to create affordable homes.
"I agree there are various regulatory frameworks, taxes, etc. Which are cumbersome and need to be changed. We are ready to do that but the only condition is that once these are changed, affordable houses are created. If we get the assurance, we will definitely consider making changes. We are also ready to face criticism for this," he said.
The Chief Minister further said the state and the industry should work together for the benefit of the common man.
The BJP-led Government is working on each and every aspect to ensure ease of doing business but its process will take time, Fadnavis added.
