"It is a matter of pride that believers of so many different religions live here together, the state government is committed to maintain this tradition and is ready to pay any price for it", Yadav said at the platinum jubilee of Catholic Diocese of Lucknow at a missionary college here.
"The aim of all the religions is the same and they all give the message of how to live together", Yadav said assuring that his government will continue to try and provide the right atmosphere for people of all religions, castes and communities to live together with dignity.
"These institutions give effective message, to the new generation, of how to work for humanity with brotherhood and compassion", he said.
On the occasion, he also launched a special cover issued by the Department of Posts
Vatican's ambassador to India and Nepal, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, who was also there, praised the chief minister for his presence and said it proved that the institute was serving the people well.
