Realtor killed, staff injured in collision

A 30-year-old realtor was killed and two of his employees, including a woman, injured when the Audi car they were traveling in crashed into a truck at Barakhamba Road in Connaught Place area in the heart of the national capital last night.
The deceased identified as Intezar Husain (30) was the owner of Zephyr Infratech Company. He had office in Noida Sector 3 and lived in Indrapuram area. The two injured have been identified as Sushil Kumar Mishra (22) and Suman (22). The two are recuperating at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.
The incident took place at the Tolstoy Crossing when the car was coming from CP and going toward Mandi House when it rammed into a loaded truck.
Police said that the crash was so severe that rescuers took more than 90 minutes to get Husain out from the mangled remains of the car. A disaster management team which reached the spot from Shakarpur within 15 minutes had to use gas cutters and other heavy equipments to pull the three out of the car.
Mishra and Suman were pulled out after half an hour.
"It seems that the three were returning from a wedding. Either of the two vehicles were speeding when the accident took place. The trio was rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital were Husain was declared dead on arrival," said a senior police official.
The truck driver however fled the spot leaving his vehicle behind.

Police said they have traced the owner of the truck, bearing a Haryana registration number and they will question him.
A case of rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered at Barakhamba police station and further investigations are on.
Husain is survived by a wife and five-month-old son.
